Our mission: The Climate Save Movement is a worldwide network of climate action groups aiming to end animal agriculture and transition to a just and vegan, plant-based food system, reforest the Earth and phase out fossil fuels to address the climate emergency.
Animal agriculture is a key source of greenhouse gas emissions, which can all be eliminated entirely. It is also the leading source of ocean dead zones, deforestation, mass species extinction, and excessive water use. Veganism and reforestation are critical parts of climate actions and, along with eliminating fossil fuels, are our last hope against catastrophic tipping points for our climate.

Bee Save Movement has been launched as part of Climate Save Movement, with the goal of protecting some of the smallest beings we share this planet with and help solve the climate crisis by helping the bees survive. Animal agriculture is a key source of pesticides, which are one of the main reasons bees are going extinct. Veganism is a critical part of important actions for the bees and our future.
Don’t Eat The Amazon! August 8, worldwide RSVP:event page
Please join us on 8/8 (August 8) to raise awareness of the worst deforestation on record this past May 2019. The Brazilian government in conjunction with animal feed companies is turning the Amazon rainforests into meat burgers. Global actions will take place with marches and protests to Brazilian Embassies, fast food restaurants and chalking in public spaces. A list of events is coming soon. If you’d like to join in, look for your local Climate Save group or if you don’t have one, contact us about joining. Background:Mighty Earth, a Washington, D.C. group, released a report called “Still At It” which points to large-scale forest-clearing by Bolivian and Brazilian farmers who trade soybeans with Cargill. Mighty Earth used satellite imaging and supply-chain mapping information from the Stockholm Environment Institute, an environmental think tank, to identify deforestation in Brazil where two American-based food giants, Cargill and Bunge, are the only known agricultural traders.
Please see this coverage of the report by Mighty Earth called “Cargill: The worst company in the world.”
“The worst company in the world. We recognize that this is an audacious claim. But when it comes to addressing the most important problems facing our world, including the destruction of the natural environment, the pollution of our air and water, the warming of the globe, the displacement of Indigenous peoples, child labor, and global poverty, Cargill is not only consistently in last place, but is driving these problems at a scale that dwarfs their closest competitors.”
Animal Rebellion is looking for volunteers Animal Think Tank have some amazing news: they have begun recruiting for volunteers for Animal Rebellion! If you want to get involved in any way, full-time or part-time, at home or on the streets, fill out their volunteer form! They will be partnering with Extinction Rebellion this fall for an Animal Rebellion which will mobilise 10,000 animal advocates for a two-week Rebellion in London, beginning October 7th.
Please go to their website or Facebook group for further details on who they are, their story, strategy and why its so important to get involved!
This article is part of a special climate change issue of MacLean’s magazine in advance of the Canadian federal election on October 21. This collection of stories offers a comprehensive look at where Canada currently stands, what could be done to address the issue and what the consequences might be if this country continues with half measures.
Health Save Movement aims to show how veganism can prevent and reverse diseases related to animal products consumption, enhance food justice, and decrease spending on the health crisis.
As we now know, chicken meat might be as bad for cholesterol as red meat. While some of the biggest companies have tried to make it look healthy, environmentally friendly and even a solution to world hunger, people who actually care about this world are looking to make chicken meat plant based.
“Tyson Foods is promoting the fact that it will begin selling nuggets made from pea protein at grocery stores this summer. A new entrant into the foray, Rebellyous Foods, is aiming to corner the meat-free fried chicken market by bringing plant-based meat’s costs down.”
“In the U.K., KFC has just announced it is trialing a vegan chicken burger in stores across England. The Imposter Burger features a fillet made from Quorn, coated in the Colonel’s Original Recipe herbs and spices. It proved so popular that it sold out in just a couple of days.”
“Nine out of every 10 land animals killed for meat are chickens. The overwhelming majority are raised on factory farms, which breeds filth and disease, and many suffer from serious health problems as a result.”

Scared and alone, born inside a slaughterhouse holding pen where his mother has already been taken to slaughter, he’s one of the many victims of the animal farming industry. You can help stop this. Please help.
Kuala Lumpur Animal Save held their first vigil on June 15 at KL Supreme Processing slaughter plant. They report: “We spent the night at a chickens slaughterhouse to bear witness, document and comfort animals where possible. We saw hens in distress with broken feathers and skin diseases crammed in small spaces. Please wake up and realize that they do indeed have their own voices, feelings, families and especially the will to live and be free and happy. Look. Love. Liberate.”
Metro Manila Animal Save was featured in this video by TESSdrive.com that also covers animal rights and veganism in general, as well as Anonymous for the Voiceless.
Brisbane Animal Save report from their June vigil for the cows: “One of the dozens of trucks that arrived at JBS Dinmore today. This slaughterhouse kills around 3,000 beautiful, intelligent, innocent individuals every day. Do you see them?”
Whanganui Animal Save report from their vigil outside Land “Meats” slaughter plant on July 7. They are a small team so having a new person join them is great news: “We were joined by Whanganui resident Monica. She said she would stand with us once or preferably twice a week! She brought a lot of enthusiasm to the task, standing with her sign well above her head, and locked eyes with the drivers. If a car horn tooted she would call out ‘Thank you. Hare Krishna!’.”
Buchloe/LL Animal Save held their first vigil on June 28 at the VION slaughter plant. They report: “Although we were only three activists at the vigil, we were able to get some vehicles – even if only briefly – to stop and have conversations with employees and ‘suppliers.'”
Athens Animal Save and Athens Climate Save held a joint outreach event on June 23. They report: “We were in the center of Athens, holding signs about climate change and animal exploitation, educating people who were passing by and raising awareness about the effects of animal agriculture.”

At a Funchal Animal Save vigil, activists give love and water to the pigs. Touring organizer Yolanda Santos reports: “In the last year and a half I have done many vigils in very different contexts and realities, inside and outside Portugal. I visited farms of different animals, dairy farms, slaughterhouses, and involved myself in some civil disobedience and rescues. But nothing touched me so much as seeing these images of this activist from Madeira giving water to some pigs that arrived thirsty and tired at the slaughterhouse. And that’s how this movement began.”
Celje Animal Save report from their June 26 vigil: “So many broken hearts today, with sad eyes, who begged for their own life when they were taken to the death factory. The death trucks run nonstop.”
During a heatwave, Toronto Pig Save held an emergency vigil for the pigs at Fearmans “Pork” on July 5. Please watch.
Langley Pig Save report from their nighttime vigil on July 4: “We held a candlelight vigil for the 1,500 baby pigs that are killed every day at Britco ‘Pork’. Things will be amping up in the next couple weeks. Please message us for more details.”
Los Cabos is the very end of the country at the tip of the Baja peninsula, and it marks the end of the very productive Save Tour Latino Mexico 2019.

Saltillo Animal Save shared the sad story of this mother pig, from their June 17 vigil: “We named her Ophelia. She arrived on Monday at the slaughterhouse, still with suckling babies, as her ‘owner’ decided that she could not have one more litter and so she was sold as body parts for a few coins. Non-human animals are not objects, they are not products, they do not belong to anyone. It’s their life and we have no right to choose for them.
Toluca Animal Save bore witness on June 22 and sent this report: “I can tell you with all certainty, I did not want to be there, I just wanted to escape and his way was to be released. The truck did not stop but our hearts for an instant went out. In Memory of this Being I just wanted to run away. 🖤 Until the last cage is empty. We apologize and tell them that they are not alone, that we are working so that not one more lives through what they lived. Bear witness. Join us at the vigils.
