The Save Movement Around the World – 05/02/18

Niagara Farm Animal Save and London Pig Save held a vigil for the 4,000 pigs killed in a barn fire on January 29 in Haldimand County. This farm was a breeding facility, with pigs ranging from piglets to mothers. No animals survived the fire.
“Thank you to everyone who came out for the 4,000 pigs who burned alive this past Monday. “

The Save Movement Rosario held their first vigil on January 27. They report:
“First of all thanks team for the support, for the courage, because after having seen their eyes, sad, weeping, horrified of those who will be unjustly murdered we could continue, and we will not stop! It is for them, for their lives, for equality and justice! They arrive at the slaughterhouse in those crowded trucks, scared, hurt, thirsty, hungry! Their eyes say it all.”

Tasmanian Animal Save held their first vigil on January 31. The vigil received widespread media coverage! They report:
“Today Tasmanian Animal Save and Animal Liberation Tasmania joined forces to hold a vigil for the animals slaughtered at Tasmanian Quality Meats.
We bore the abuse of some truck drivers and staff throughout the day, in cold blustery conditions. Whatever we endured was nothing compared to the horror the hundreds upon hundreds of sheep we saw within a few short hours were subjected to. We saw them, and we mourned as they were killed mere metres away from us.
Whilst we could not save them, the extensive media coverage today will bring their stories to the broader community and hopefully spark a much needed conversation.
Thank you to everyone involved today. Together we can make a difference.”

“RIP to these innocent chickens who were slaughtered last night at Ingham slaughterhouse in Murarrie. Every year in Australia alone, over half a billion chickens are raised and slaughtered for meat.”

Dijon Animal Save held their first vigil on January 30. They report:
“We saw 6 trucks bringing to their death dozens of innocent earthlings. Why do that, would you ask: bearing witness for them? Because their murders cannot be kept under silence. Because if you’re not vegan, you took part in this slaughter, paying for the knife in the butcher’s hand, and you should see the life in their eyes before they passed the slaughterhouse’s doors. Because people need to see where their meat/dairy/eggs come from. Because if these pictures can make someone go vegan, their deaths could save other animals’ lives. Because we have to do our best to make sure they receive some love at least once in their lives. Because we cannot be silent. Because we have to be their voices.
Ask yourself: why choose to slaughter these innocent souls while you can choose compassion?
Please go vegan. For them.”

Dundee Animal Save report from their vigil at ABP slaughterhouse in Perth (Scotland):
“The day started off well with the Manager and Security coming out and speaking to us to set up an arrangement to stop trucks for 2 minutes. However it was apparent after the 2nd truck they were not stopping them for us to bear witness and say goodbye to the animals.”

Lincolnshire Animal Save held their first cow vigil of 2018. They report:
“It was a powerful and emotional first cow vigil of the year. These cows were killed today because people have not made the connection between the food on their plate and the animal that died for it to be there. None of it is necessary. Study after study shows that consuming animals and animal products is detrimental to our health, and it is ALWAYS lethal to the animal. What good comes from being complicit in this? So we ask again, now that do you know, what good comes from being complicit in this?”
