“We witnessed many semi-trailers packed full of hundreds of beautiful pigs who would lose their lives today. Thanks to the compassionate, animal loving Kansas City community and our friends at Seattle Farmed Animal Save for helping us get started. Thanks also to VegFest Kansas City 2017 for showing us that there is a better, plant-based way to live that is accessible to all.”

Tampa Animal Save rescues two chickens at their first vigil
Tampa Animal Save held heir first vigil July 3 at Musa’s Slaughterhouse, which claims to specialize in “hand slaughtering” for the halal and kosher markets. They report:
“We had a girl come to our protest after seeing us out here, and we had a woman stop and give us a bag of corn chips to help lure the chickens; we had a wife of a slaughterhouse worker tell us how her husband feels so much remorse and that she will help us get more info on the slaughterhouse. We liberated 2 chickens, we came together as one and fought for what was right. It was Tampa Animal Save’s first vigil and completely successful event. Thank to all the cars that honked for us and all the people that showed up. So much love for all of you. Animal agriculture’s time is limited.”

“When the suffering of another creature causes you to feel pain, do not submit to the initial desire to flee from the suffering one, but on the contrary, come closer, as close as you can to her who suffers, and try to help her.” – Leo Tolstoy
